Politikstudio’s newsletter, the Politikstudio Briefing, is produced by the independent Swedish digital news publisher Politikstudio, owned and operated by Politikstudi Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry) with its registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. The briefing delivers essential Swedish news, explainers and cultural context to your inbox each weekday.
What does the Politikstudio Briefing contain?
The briefing provides a curated selection of the day’s most important Swedish news, covering riksdagen, government policy, kommunpolitik, the economy, culture and society. Each edition includes at least one explainer that breaks down complex issues without spin or oversimplification, plus a cultural context note that helps international readers understand the Swedish landscape. All articles are drafted by named writers, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication, as described on our Sources & Standards page.
How is the newsletter curated?
The editorial team under Chefndaktör Oliver Keller curates every edition. The daily newsroom is led by Redaktionschef Anna Ludwig, who reviews headlines and commissioning. Policy coverage is overseen by Politikredaktör Martin Seidel, and economic reporting by Wirtschaftreporter Helena Busch. Cultural and societal stories are selected by Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Patrick Hoffmann. Fact-checking is managed by Birgit Schmitt, Ansvarig för faktagranskning. For full details of the team’s backgrounds, see our team page.
What is the frequency and format?
The Politikstudio Briefing is sent daily on weekdays, with occasional special editions when major news breaks or when a deep-dive report warrants additional context. Editions are delivered as a plain-text email with links to the full articles on politikstudio.de. Each edition opens with a summary of the top story, followed by sectioned news in politics, economy, and culture. There are no promotional blocks within the editorial content; sponsored material, when included, is clearly labelled.
