Politikstudio (politikstudio.de) is an independent Swedish digital news publisher owned and operated by Politikstudi Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009). This Editorial Policy explains the standards and practices that govern all content published on our site, from editorial responsibility and process to transparency and accountability.

Who is responsible for editorial standards at Politikstudio?

Oliver Keller, Chefredaktör, holds ultimate responsibility for editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections at Politikstudio. He ensures every piece meets our journalistic principles before and after publication.

Politikstudio is owned by Politikstudi Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry). Full ownership and funding details are available on our ownership and funding page. The editorial team operates independently of any commercial or political interests. Oliver Keller can be reached at anders.lindqvist@politikstudio.de or +46 8 525 030 61. The day-to-day newsroom is led by Anna Ludwig, Redaktionschef, who oversees headline review and commissioning.

How does our editorial process work?

Every article published on Politikstudio is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor, and fact-checked before publication. This three-stage process ensures accuracy, clarity and adherence to our standards.

Writers are assigned stories based on expertise and editorial priority. Once a draft is complete, a senior editor reviews it for structure, tone and factual consistency. The fact-checking team, led by Birgit Schmitt (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), verifies sources, quotes and data. AI-assisted tools may support research, drafting or formatting, but no content is published without final human editorial approval. Details of our AI use are set out in the AI and automation policy.

How do we distinguish between news, opinion, features, sponsored and affiliate content?

We clearly label all content types so readers can distinguish editorial news from opinion, analysis, sponsored material and affiliate links. News reports aim for impartiality; opinion and analysis pieces are signed and marked accordingly.

News articles present facts without editorialising. Opinion pieces, including columns and commentary, are identified with the author’s name and a label such as “Opinion” or “Analysis”. Features are in-depth, balanced explorations of a topic. Sponsored content and commercial partnerships are clearly labelled as such, and all affiliate links are disclosed. These practices are detailed in our advertising and affiliate disclosure. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions.

What transparency measures do we apply at the article level?

Every article shows the named writer, the date of publication and, where relevant, the editor who approved it. Corrections are appended to the original article with a clear note.

We also publish a fact-checking policy explaining how sources are verified. If an article is updated after publication, the nature and date of the change are noted. Readers can see who worked on each piece; our full team is listed on the Our Team page. Any sponsored or affiliate content is disclosed within the article itself, not just in a general policy.

How do we use artificial intelligence in our journalism?

AI-assisted tools may support research, editing, formatting, translation, metadata generation, headline options, summaries and transcription, but never replace human editorial judgement. Every published piece is reviewed and approved by a human editor.

We prohibit AI from fabricating quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. Any use of AI is transparent and subject to the same fact-checking and editorial oversight as human‑authored work. Full details are in our AI and automation policy.

How can readers submit a complaint or request a correction?

Complaints and correction requests can be sent to corrections@politikstudio.de or via our general contact form at info@politikstudio.de. We respond to all submissions promptly.

Our formal complaints procedure outlines the steps we follow: acknowledgement within two working days, investigation by the editorial team, and a written response. If a correction is warranted, it is published with a note at the top or bottom of the affected article. We also maintain a publicly accessible corrections log.

Our commitments

  • To full independence from commercial, political or personal influence
  • To transparency about our ownership, funding sources and editorial methods
  • To accountability through a clear corrections policy and accessible complaints route
  • To responsible use of artificial intelligence, with human oversight of every published piece
