Politikstudio (politikstudio.de), operated by Politikstudi Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry) with registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000, is committed to making its digital content accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards and continuously improve the user experience for everyone. For any accessibility-related inquiries or feedback, please contact us at accessibility@politikstudio.de.
Who is responsible for accessibility at Politikstudio?
The overall responsibility for accessibility standards and compliance rests with Chefredaktör Oliver Keller, who oversees editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections at Politikstudio. Day-to-day implementation and technical auditing are managed by our editorial and technical teams under the supervision of Redaktionschef Anna Ludwig. All staff are encouraged to consider accessibility in their workflows, and we regularly review our practices against evolving guidelines.
What is our commitment to accessibility standards?
Politikstudio aims to conform with WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements across all published editorial content. This includes text, images, multimedia, interactive elements and downloadable documents. We conduct periodic internal audits using automated tools and manual testing to identify and address issues. Our editorial policy requires that every piece of content is reviewed by a human editor, which helps ensure that accessibility considerations are not overlooked in the production process.
How do we achieve keyboard navigation, focus and contrast?
We design our website to be fully operable using a keyboard alone. All interactive elements – links, buttons, forms and menus – are reachable and usable via sequential tab navigation, with visible focus indicators on every focusable component. Text and background colour combinations are chosen to meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, as required by WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We avoid using colour as the sole means of conveying information, and we provide sufficient contrast for non-text content such as icons and graphical objects.
What about reduced motion and other user preferences?
We respect user preferences for reduced motion by honouring the `prefers-reduced-motion` media query. Where customisable animations or transitions are present, they are either disabled or replaced with static alternatives when a user indicates a preference for reduced motion. Additionally, we support browser-level text resizing and zoom functionality without loss of content or functionality. We also aim to provide clear, consistent navigation and a predictable layout to assist users with cognitive and learning disabilities.
What are the known limitations of our site?
Some historical content, such as articles published before our accessibility programme began or material provided by third-party partners, may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria. For example, older PDF documents or embedded videos from external platforms might lack proper tagging or captions. We are actively working to remediate these items over time. If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from accessing any part of our site, please let us know using the contact details below – we will do our best to provide an accessible alternative or fix the issue promptly.
How can you report an accessibility issue?

We aim to acknowledge your report within two business days and to resolve or provide a workaround within ten business days.
