Politikstudio’s journalism rests on a clear foundation of editorial accountability and financial transparency. Every article is produced by named staff, reviewed by an editor, and checked against verifiable sources before publication. The organisation discloses its ownership and funding openly so readers can assess any potential influence. This page explains who bears responsibility for our reporting, what standards guide our daily work, and how you can hold us to account.
Who is responsible for our journalism?
Politikstudio is owned and operated by Politikstudi Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry), with its registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. Full editorial independence is guaranteed by the company’s governance framework.
The ultimate responsibility for editorial standards, publication decisions, and corrections rests with our Chefredaktör, Oliver Keller (anders.lindqvist@politikstudio.de, +46 8 525 030 61). He is supported by a dedicated team including a Redaktionschef (Anna Ludwig), a Politikredaktör (Martin Seidel), a Wirtschaftreporter (Helena Busch), a Kultur- och samhällsredaktör (Patrick Hoffmann), and an Ansvarig för faktagranskning (Birgit Schmitt). Full biographies are available on our team page. The company’s ownership structure and funding model are detailed in our ownership and funding disclosure. No commercial partner, advertiser, or sponsor has any influence over editorial conclusions; all sponsored or affiliate content is clearly labelled in line with our advertising and affiliate disclosure policy.
What do we rely on day to day?
Our daily reporting is built on primary sources, official data, direct interviews, and verified documents. Every article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor, and fact‑checked by our dedicated fact‑checking team before publication.
We prioritise government reports from Swedish agencies such as Statistiska centralbyrån and Regeringskansliet, peer‑reviewed academic studies, public records from the Riksdag and municipal councils, and first‑hand interviews with named experts or officials. Where anonymous sources are used, the editor must approve the justification and the source’s identity is recorded in internal notes. Our fact‑checking policy describes the verification process in detail. AI‑assisted tools may support research, transcription, or drafting, but they never replace human editorial judgement; all published content is approved by a human editor. Further details are in our AI and automation policy. We also maintain a style guide that enforces consistent use of language, citation formats, and corrections handling.
How can you challenge our reporting?
Readers can submit corrections, complaints, or requests for clarification by emailing corrections@politikstudio.de or complaints@politikstudio.de. Every submission receives a written acknowledgement within two working days and is reviewed by the Chefredaktör or a designated senior editor.
Our corrections policy explains the process for issuing corrections, clarifications, and retractions. All substantive changes to published articles are logged with a note explaining what was changed and why. If you believe our reporting has breached editorial standards or caused harm, you may file a formal complaint under our complaints procedure. The procedure is designed to be accessible, transparent, and independent of any commercial interests. We also welcome tips and suggestions via tips@politikstudio.de; see our tip‑us page for guidance on how to share information securely.
